Death
Death comes not as an enemy, but as a friend so dear. Bringing release from sorrow and strife, Ending pain and wiping every tear. Though we grieve the loss of their presence, And miss their face we loved so. Death has granted them eternal peace, A respite from life's woes. For death is a gentle shepherd, Guiding us home at last. After life's trials and tribulations, Too beautiful to last. Death comes with comforting whispers, Promising joy that will never end. Reuniting loved ones forever, With angels as they wend. Though we walk a path of shadows, Darkness fills our grieving heart. The light of hope still guides us, Having not departed. Our loved one lives on, though gone, The memories we have made. A part of them remains with us, Beyond Death's deep shade. So greet Death then not as villain, But welcome him as friend most dear. Who leads our beloved Homeward, Where they will always be near. For love and life remain eternal, Much stronger than death's night. Our hearts joined for all time, Cast in joyful light. Death comes to show us The Way, To realms fair and bright. Where we'll meet and laugh and love, And walk together in the light.
