Dear You
For seventeen years, I didn’t know how to live like a normal person. I was lost, hurt, and tired of my own pain. There were nights when I cried in the dark, thinking life wasn’t worth it anymore. Then you came into my life. Your eyes showed me a light that never fades. You became my hope when I had none. Through every hard time, you were the one who kept me going. You taught me that I deserve to live, to love, and to be loved — just like anyone else. Now that you’re in heaven, I still feel your presence. You were the one who pulled me out of my worst days, who proved that I wasn’t broken forever. You showed me that someone could care enough to stay. I still remember the night you reached for my hand. I was scared, but when I held it, your warmth made me feel safe for the first time. You’re gone now, and sometimes I wish you hadn’t met me — maybe your life would have been easier, free from the pain we both carried. But even then, I’m grateful. Thank you for everything you did for me. Thank you for believing in me when no one else did. Thank you for saving me when I didn’t think I was worth saving.
