Dear You
I'm done. I'm done begging you to love me the way I'm supposed to be loved. I'm done seeking your attention as if my worth hangs on the tilt of your mood. Just because I'm silent does not mean I'm foolish. For My silence does not symbolize weakness or fear of you it symbolizes a character you never took the time to understand. I fought battles nobody thought I would face Healed scars that bled for the longest And Wore a smile all just to carry myself in my quiet, storms learn to settle. In my stillness, truth gathers strength. I’ve bled in silence, healed in silence, and risen in silence too So I’m done shrinking myself to fit into the small spaces you offered. Done dimming my light so you could feel brighter standing next to me. I am reclaiming my voice not to scream for your attention, but to call myself home. And if walking away is what it takes to remember who I am, then let this be my final lesson to you: Losing me is the loudest sound you will ever hear.
