Dear Mother
Dear ‘Mother’, We grew up way too fast. We fell for all the lies. We never knew we could cry out. They came and took us from you. We all cried but over and over again you couldn’t stay clean. Even for the kids you claim you loved. Pills after pills. Dope after dope. Man after man. Yet here we still stand. You’re high on Jesus but you pushed us back out. I love Jesus too doesn’t mean I'm going to Hell. You act as if you’re better than us all Yet you have the shadiest past. I think I'm better than you cause my son never comes last. I pray daily but never for you anymore. You were the one who shut that door. Of course, I no longer have to worry you’d be dead in a ditch Only worry the hate in your heart is so thick. You don’t remember what happened to us when we were young, Only tell me that what I remember is wrong. You say it’s better to stay away from people who bring you down, So, guess that means you and you POS husband you keep around. Who knows if you’ll hear this or not But I hope your heart changes before it starts to rot. Don’t call, text or even write. Finally, Jesus I see the light! - your daughter
