Dear Life
Dear life, I miss my knife I wish my days weren't the same My bed needs to be tame Most people don't make their bed At least that's what they said I haven't done my hair in a while It being short makes me smile At least for the time being People tell me I should be singing I didn't want it for that reason Or because of the season I wrote it for those whose Have been in my shoes Those who had to play Those who had to pay Played the part in the lies Paid the price of their lies I want them to not feel alone Or even a place to call home To feel safe and okay Not like crying everyday Because I've been there And even if I can't help here I do what I can Even if we are only human
