Dear Future Me
Dear future me, right now, I see myself as someone still learning, still carrying the weight of my past, but dreaming of a life I haven’t fully touched yet. I see the boy who walked barefoot through dust, who sold masks just to survive, who molded bricks with tired hands— he made me who I am today. I feel the sadness of the struggles, the loneliness of nights when I wondered if I’d ever make it, and the moments I doubted my worth. But I also feel pride— pride that I never gave up, that I still believe, even when life seemed impossible. I hope you, future me, are stronger than I am today, more patient, more confident, more alive. I hope you love yourself fully, and love someone deeply in return, someone who sees all of you—the past, the scars, the dreams—and still chooses you every day. I wish you courage to chase every dream without fear, to forgive yourself for the mistakes, to embrace the love you’ve always deserved, and to live a life that feels like home both in your heart and in your hands. Dear future me, if you ever feel lost or tired, remember this: the boy who walked barefoot through dust was brave enough to begin, and brave enough to love. Never forget him.
