Dear Father,
Who art not in heaven, but in my living room. Who not the creator of life, but the man who made me. Who not a God, but a mere mortal just like me. Who may not forgive himself, but I do. I forgive you, for I am your son. Your blood. Your child, who you raised and nutured for 17 years. I am not the Lord, but a boy who has been broken and beaten. So were you. A boy who knew a "love" long forbidden. A boy who cried alone, til there were no tears left. A boy who became a man all to early. A boy I call my father, a man I call Dad. A boy who didn't know how to raise me, how to handle me, who couldn't hear me. A man who is sorry for his irresponsibility, who is trying his best to be a Dad. A boy I see when I look at you, hidden behind the man you are now. Dear Father, I forgive you, and I am proud of the little boy you grew from. Sincerely, your son, Raistlyn
