dear fake friends
Fake friends, like shadows, they follow me But when the darkness falls, they flee They smile and laugh, a masquerade But behind my back, a different parade Their words are sweet, a poisonous treat A trap to keep me, in their deceit They pretend to care, a false embrace But in their hearts, a cold, empty space They use me for their gain, a stepping stone But when I need them, they're gone, unknown They're like a mirage, a fleeting sight But when the truth comes out, they take flight So I'll beware, of their fake delight And shine my light, to expose their night For true friends are rare, a precious find And fake friends, a weight, that I'll leave behind.
