DEAD ROSE
once upon a time we lay on a bed of roses As soft as can be The petals Fresh, emitted a romantic scent But soon the smell turned sour And the petals died until all that was left were thorns Painful and bitter I tried to stay maybe the thorns would eventually hurt less maybe I would get used to the pain I toId myself you were worth it I would choose you over anything Yet you never chose me watched me as I bled on the thorns watched as my skin broke And my heart shattered one betrayal after another until enough was enough until finally chose myself over you Eventhough my heart still beats for you And deep down I Still hope you would bring me a fresh rose just one would be enough But atleast now I know castive without you.
