Day of African Child
Today, I remember Soweto. Books became shields, tongues became weapons, and children— became warriors. They buried us in silence, but we grew in songs. We learn in struggle. We rise in hope. We still walk, barefoot, but not blind. Today, we honor the African child— not forgotten, just becoming. Happy Day of the African Child.
