Day-Night Cycle
I feel as surely I would crack and break As the tears poured But night after night I still wake puffy eyed And voice sore I hug my knees to my chest And sob late into the night I am almost convinced I might crack and break Without you by my side The morning light way to bright For my red eyes to see The birds song far to loud For my dull headache to hear The afternoon breeze certainly to harsh For my stuffed nose to smell As each day ends Another painful night begins And I am sure I might break As tears empty onto my face
