Darkness
Come in through my window to see my torn flesh The person I used to be and the person I am now I am scattered, tattered, and torn What lays in my bed is only a fraction What lays in my bed is only a soul As I lay here wondering what happened to me I lay in the darkness with only a candle lit Come in through my window to see me torn Is there someone who can save me from this undying world They see me lying there surrounded by my own blood The blood from my tormented past Yet I still lick the wounds that will forever be there Not knowing what is to come Not knowing what lays ahead Come in through my window to see the darkness of my soul Is there someone to bring back the light and let it unfold They say to me not to worry They say to me that God has a plan But what is the plan he has for me in world of unending night There is a light in the far away distance To far for me to even grasp Come in through my window and all you will see is the darkened shell of what I used to be.
