Dark Spirits
The darkness sits on my back like a child Crying to be heard Whispering the cruel things I tried to hide The bad thoughts that lie deep inside I'm scared of those voices they are far too loud So I silently smile That's how you stop yourself from crying From screaming the need to stop death Open your chest and act surprised That ruins lie inside No treasure in sight This world is lonely because no one could handle the darkness I hide So I come to you with the light Hoping to make it better somehow To scare away your darkness Before it consumes your light
