"Dans ton Sillage"
Dans ton sillage, in your wake. In your wake I am cold, Your scent lingers, your words that left me blind. For no touch may warm the empty space you leave behind; Nor heal the wounds you have inflicted; The stinging cuts of lies and anger, my body left conflicted. In your wake I do not love; For that kind of affection I cannot, in love; No more may I speak of what you are, I now must hold affection very far. In your wake I am left, forever to feel your hands on me; Forever I fear love as it may be. In your wake I am alone, for no one will truly know who I was; For you have taken who I was. In your wake I become profound, my mind no longer bound. My thoughts occupy the night, my mind a labyrinth of impaired emotion.. With your morality I conceive a notion. In your wake you are blank; A morphing shape for those you meet. A snake waiting to snap on its prey, on anyone you can cheat. In your wake I remain; For I am not who I was, but what I could maintain. Dans ton sillage.
