Dancing With The Devil
He grabs my hands gently at first progressively tighter like he won't let go He teaches me to dance stepping on my toes with each step like the pain is normal, like it's okay. We dance till my feet bleed and my legs want to give out But he continues to twirl me dizziness floods my head and nausea surges forth "Swallow it down, and let's keep dancing" he says with a broken smile. His hot breath chokes my lungs And I struggle to breathe At last, from exhaustion does he fall into slumber and I think I can rest but I can't close my eyes and my mind is still stuck dancing then, once again does he wake. Ready for another dance.
