Dancing with Darkness
it's been years yet I still reminisce about you.I think about the ways you comforted me in the dark. When I felt there was no one else there you danced with me in the darkness. you're touch cold yet it left a warmth behind. I fantasize about you sometimes. I think what if we met just one more time. I'm in another life yet the feelings always linger. I don't dare cross over and blur the lines between fantasies and reality. You were my dearest friend for so long. I guess when they say old habits die hard they are speaking nothing but the stone cold truth. You were an addiction, one I still want to run and seek comfort too. I think about how often I danced in that sea of red with you. i wonder if things would've been different would you end up my maker? Sometimes when I think about going back I picture myself diving too deep dancing with the darkness letting the red sea consume me. If I'm being honest it sounds like relief but I can't just run away and dance the night away. I miss you the most in times like these. No not when the world is loud and chaotic but when the silence finally settles and I'm floating in a place I can't quite describe. I miss you when I've lost touch with what's real and what's fake
