Dancing In The Rain

I was never a dancer As I don't have light feet But music is my thing While I sway to the beat Singing I love to do As it eases my mind Folk songs are the gentlest From souls sweet and kind Gordon Lightfoot's my favorite And he has been for awhile His words are so meaningful He makes me listen and smile But he's also very truthful As he talks about life Not everything is so peaceful There's heartache and strife So I'm learning to dance To get rid of the pain In between all the raindrops Out there in the rain
