Dance!
8-29-23 My heart grows full when I hear you laugh: As you move with full step: stop and pass. I see the graceful way your back will arch, As your line moves along with measured march. On days when I can go, I see you practice. You use all those moves you learned in class: Then I see you turn to twirl and prance. My tears well up; I love to watch you dance. I know sometimes it's hard to see it through. But I know it's what you love to do. As years went by, you took the time to learn Everything you need to get your turn. And now your time has come; you've won a role. I'm proud to see you realized your goal. And I love that I finally get this chance, For at least some little while, to watch you dance.
