Dance
You take my hand, go for a dance, I go, stand up, and take my chance, The music’s loud, but there’s no crowd, We start the prance all strong and proud. Music plays: 1, 2, 1, 2, 3, Which side is which? We can’t agree, And we dance: 3, 1, 2, 2, 3, With every step we start to see One step forward, two steps back, My shoes white and your shoes black. Mixing colors, mixing styles, Mixing feelings, mixing smiles. Rhythm goes: 3, 2, 3, 2, 2, We can see our joy is true, Keep it going: 2, 3, 2, 3, 2, That’s the ball of me and you. All around us turning pink, And our hearts are both in sync, Feel and hear the soft spring breeze, And our taps with such an ease. Our tune strikes: 2, 1, 3, 2, 1, You held my hand as I spun, One last time: 3, 2, 3, 2, 1, There we danced like Moon and Sun.
