Damaged
In shadows cast by blame's relentless gaze, I stand, a portrait of a broken soul, Unheard, unseen, my voice lost in the haze, As accusations take their heavy toll. Within these depths, a tempest ceaselessly roars, Whispering echoes of my silent plea, To find solace in love's tranquil shores, Where understanding blossoms, wild and free. But he, entangled in his own despair, Fails to grasp the depths I yearn to share, A listener's heart, I long for him to wear, Yet all he sees is a woman left threadbare. In his eyes, I am branded "damaged goods," An embodiment of all that's gone astray, Yet beneath this surface, strength quietly broods, Yearning to sculpt a brighter, bolder way. I crave connection, a symphony of minds, Where empathy and compassion intertwine, To bridge the chasm, where understanding finds, A sanctuary where hearts can intertwine. For I am more than blame's relentless sting, A spirit that refuses to be defined, In healing whispers, my hopes take wing, Seeking a love that's gentle and refined. So let him see beyond the shattered glass, To recognize the beauty that still lies within, For love's true essence is boundless and vast, Unveiling the strength in a heart that's been.
