cycle of Flesh
Day by day, I fight the flame, But every night, I play the game. I rise, I fall — I lose control, A war between my flesh and soul. Week by week, I wear the chain, A moment's high, a flood of shame. I vow to stop, I start again, A prisoner in my own domain. Month by month, the mirror stares, At hollow eyes and silent prayers. This isn’t me — or who I was, I’m broken by my own desires. "Set me free," my spirit pleads, But hunger drowns my higher needs. And so I sink, and so I spin — This cycle calls, and pulls me in.
