Cubicle of Peace
White coated walls, sealed off doors. Bears stuffed with cotton, rags on the floor. Dark as night, but one lamp with light. If the walls could speak, they'd speak of fights. Long, silent, loud fights. Eyes blurred from sight. Pillows that catch droplets and hear the silent terror. Lovely blanket made of feather that keeps her together. Broken glass on the floor, shattered, destroyed. Heart torn into pieces, and logic suddenly appears. I told you, no goodness comes to those worthy. Stay kind, they said, but kindness destroyed her. Her cubicle of peace will never break her. She's safe in her blanket's arms. Her pillow will wipe water streams. And the bears made with cotton will always be there.
