Crystal Garden
I ventured far, And found myself Lost in a field of sunflowers. Lavenders perfumed my hair, With dandelions everywhere— In the air, As I made angels Among them. The sky rolled out her map, Teaching me patterns. I traced lines in the stars, Diamonds and sapphires, Yet I caught none. She could’ve plucked one From her crystal garden. When I asked for some, She chuckled And whispered, "Dear child, keep aiming. You might just land among them." And conviction, I felt in my heart, Belief, I heard in her smile. I shall hope I touch the moon, And leave my fingerprints On her pale cheek, Before I dive Among the galaxies
