Crystal
Suddenly, it became crystal clear to me A dawning light, an epiphany How what was and what was meant to be Was obscured by selfish want And on I went in ignorance A hearty fool, ego obsessed While what was and what was meant to be Became a ghostly haunt I lacked regret, remorse, nor I Did feel afoul or sympathize For what was and what was meant to be Became a lesser care Until amassed by loneliness Did I then seek a second chance At what was and what was meant to be I wished now to repair But what was lost I could not regain A sunken ship beyond reclaim What was and what was meant to be Was never meant for stupid me
