crushed desires
My eyes were tired from crying, I tried closing them, But your face appeared again, and my heart couldn't condemn. I turned to drinking, hoping to forget you for a while, But once I got sober, the pain hit with a stronger pile. I reached out to my friend, seeking solace in their advice, But all they said was, "I warned you," not very nice. No one warned me how much this would truly sting, You left so quickly, like a blink, a fleeting fling. But it's just a crush. Why should you even care? Yet the pain feels unbearable. It's too much to bear. Help me move on and find a way to heal my heart's plight. Helen
