Crows
Scared tears drip down her face Freezing silently in the presence of the vast lake Crows fly from the dead winter trees Leaving shadows of black feathers among Snow melted leaves The crows swarm leaving the girl in the center of a circle Her quivering lip shakes as one crow hops forward a couple of places He pecks the ground till found the first frosted tear Holding it in his beak like it's something dear The other crows hop gathering the rest Till they take to the sky causing the girl to hold her breathe Every few miles they drop any icy tear And you will know because the weather grows warm here The girl's tears are bring forth spring The crows gifted the girl this To help melt away her pain Till the crows settle in another dead tree You wouldn't know because the sun shining on their feathers look green Like a normal tree They wait till someone so warm grows cold The weather will change again, this the crows...
