Crossroads
[AN: From a writing prompt] And there she was, Crossed the road From across my eye I saw her passing by My breath hitched Something in my brain clicked And before i could turn to say hi She'd already passed on by All day, she was my thought The girl that crossed the road The girl that crossed my heart. Seeing her again was a futile thought But there she was, Left me breathless, overwrought Only now, if wasn't her beauty That left me deterred But were the letters on the news 25 year old girl murdered.
