Cracked, Bloody, White
I miss the moment I traced your footsteps in the snow And collapsed to my knees Letting out a shriek you heard for miles Your heart stopped and you're dizzy Just holding your hand was enough To transfer your frostbite to me And you know I'd lose all my fingers For you any day I dreamt of this moment last night But it was so much colder Your body is the coldest, Most rigid sculpture I've ever held And yet it gives me this drunken warmth Starting in my stomach And radiating throughout my hollow body I'll slip and fall from your grasp Into the snow And you'll hold my hand 3 times as tight Through your piercing frigidity That numbs your veins She killed the baby and lit it on fire I've never ever felt so hot The wind bites and bruises your lips Leaving you cracked and bloody and white Just know I'm so, so, so much warmer And I always will be And that you can trust me
