cowardly brave.
There was once a time I was brave. And a time I was a coward. I stood on the ledge looking down on my grave. Unable to take a step forward. My life played on repeat in my head. Showing me the sadness that's filled me with dread. A voice from the darkness would reach out to me. Repeating the phrase “Hold on it will be ok” A voice so soothing and sweet I wanted to believe. I struggled to make it thought the day. But I was brave and kept hanging on. Knowing one day my pain would be gone. Love would find me and destroy me. My heart would break in new ways. I would crawl in a hole and cry silently. Still the voice would not let me stay. Afraid to face my mistake I was a coward. Hiding in the shadows wallowing in sorrow. From a coward to brave I would grow. Learning to accept my downfall. The sadness of my life I would let go. And would stand mighty and tall. A coward I would no longer be. I would continue living my life bravely.
