Control
I've decided to stop fighting the breeze I've decided it's won the air No matter the pushing or pulling I've done It comes back so calm and measured I've decided to stop picking up leaves I've decided they've won the ground I walk up my path with rake and gloves only for the wind to bring them back These branches are just too burdened I've decided to stop halting the tides I've decided they've won the sand The walls of rocks I build every night crash down once I walk away Water will always wrestle control away I've decided to stop hiding from the sun It always manages to find me clouds have acted as a strong cover But, when I awake, it stares back at me my eyes simply can't take this much strain
