Confidence
I chase a spark that hides beyond my sight, A phantom flame I’ve never learned to claim. It flickers dimly, distant from the light, And whispers softly, calling out my name. Behind the glass I watch the world parade, While doubt sits heavy, fastened to my chest. Their voices bloom; my courage bends and fades, A wilted seed that never leaves the nest. Yet deep within, a tremor starts to grow, A restless echo pleading to be free. Perhaps the fire was never mine to know, Until I dared to say — that fire is me. So here I stand, still trembling, still unsure, But writing words that make my soul feel pure.
