Come what may
In the quiet moments, I often find A fear that lingers in my mind A bond so precious, A friendship rare The thought of losing you, Too hard to bear We've shared our laughter, tears and dreams Navigated life's twisted streams. Your presence, A light in my darkest night, A guiding star, forever bright. Yet shadows creep into my heart Whispers of doubt, they often start. What if the wind of change do blow, And take you where I cannot go? The futures path, unseen, unknown A journey we must walk alone But losing you feels like losing me, A fracture in my soul's decree. Each moment cherished, each memory dear, Yet beneath it all, there lies a fear A trembling thought that won't depart If a life without you, tearing me apart I hold our friendship close and tight, In hopes to keep you in my sight. But time moves on, And people change, And live can rearrange. Still, I promise this, Come what may, In my heart, you'll always stay For true friendships, though tested, bends, And through it all, remains, transcends. So here's to us, and here's to now To hold eachother, to make a vow. To cherish what we have today And face the future, come what may. <3
