In the quiet moments, I often find A fear that lingers in my mind A bond so precious, A friendship rare The thought of losing you, Too hard to bear We've shared our laughter, tears and dreams Navigated life's twisted streams. Your presence, A light in my darkest night, A guiding star, forever bright. Yet shadows creep into my heart Whispers of doubt, they often start. What if the wind of change do blow, And take you where I cannot go? The futures path, unseen, unknown A journey we must walk alone But losing you feels like losing me, A fracture in my soul's decree. Each moment cherished, each memory dear, Yet beneath it all, there lies a fear A trembling thought that won't depart If a life without you, tearing me apart I hold our friendship close and tight, In hopes to keep you in my sight. But time moves on, And people change, And live can rearrange. Still, I promise this, Come what may, In my heart, you'll always stay For true friendships, though tested, bends, And through it all, remains, transcends.
