Color
There are so many colors but not each is seen the same. A blue to you, Could be a green to me. So knowing this, I hope you know that my colors, are mine. They are how I see them, Not you. Not any stranger passing by. So you may say I'm a freak, But this mess of a rainbow only formed after rain. And all you do is make it bigger. That day I woke in a hospital bed, I wasn't me. I became someone, something, you'll never understand. Those chains you tied me down with were shattered. Like the glass the baseball we threw 'round broke. We were just children then, I still am one. But I don't feel like one. All because of you. But now I have so much. But one thing is missing, you. The brother who was always there for me, through every low and high, Every time life beat me to my knees I'd see you holding out your hand. But now, it isn't you, it isn't a bottle of pills that make me feel numb, It's the old me. Each one. The wolverine, the dragon, the fox, the nephalim, The little kid you would help. I hope you still see that little kid, But until then, I'll be here, with each of the lives I lived. And the young me.
