cold... (part 2)
can i warm myself up? (yes, eventually.) when i come out of the blanket, will anyone will hug me with their warmth? (yes, many.) do i deserve a hug? (yes, obviously.) i may know the answers to those questions, but knowing is not believing. my body feels weak, too weak to hold the weight of the belief. for now. i'm not yet confident to shake off the blanket, but maybe, just maybe, a fire will grow inside me. no, a little fire is already growing inside me. and it will grow bigger. one day, when it warms me enough, i'll reach a hand out, then two. maybe then, the cold may not be as unbearable as it used to be. maybe then, i can pull out the blanket. maybe then, someone will see me, and with a loving embrace, warm me, and we can watch the cold but beautiful world outside together.
