Cold and Distant

Why do people distance themselves in the time of peril of another? How can anybody be so cold, When you did nothing wrong to subject that icy glare? Humanity is crumbling beneath our feet There doesnt seem to be any way to stop it. Friends and Family turn on each other in a battle of survival Looks to be a lost cause because you don't think it will ever end. A battle here is a fight to the death and only the strongest will survive. They need the light of God to guide them back to humanity and a violence free world. Where is that light?
