Gone far beyond Love's labyrinthine snare, I trod through realms where fear itself found none Where shattered longings bled into the air, And wounded passions faded with the sun. There, aspirations lay in silent graves, While restless sentiments took wing and fled; I sailed unmoored upon oblivion's waves, With neither hope to crown nor grief to dread. Amid the hush of fate's unyielding keep, I found a peace no mortal tongue could frame; Where death stood not as terror, dark and deep, But as a lantern bearing Heaven's flame. Thus, freed from longing's venerable chain, I walked the void and found myself again
