Close but far
I feel so close to the sky Though it lies away from me. Isn't it same with one's desire? With the dream to fly high But time is so screwed. I imbibe the warmth of love In the world of hatred Isn't it same with life? Embracing the pierce of thorn Though it aches a lot. I accept the smile of devil Though it seems ferocious. Isn't it same with man? You are betrayed by the one you opt to trust the most. I perceive the strength of peace In the mids of storm. Isn't same with one's mind? With the desire to stay calm But still chooses chaos. I choose the tears of struggle Though I have the bed of rose Isn't it same with one's ambition? It seems so intimate to me But is so far from me. ~ Sankalipta Hazarika
