Clear My Path
Yah, Remove Thorns on My Way, Clear My Path Yah, Divine Gardener, tenderly attend To the landscape of my life, where thorns contend Clear the overgrowth, the brambles that entwine And smooth the rugged path, that I may walk in line In this wilderness of trials, where shadows loom and length Remove the stumbling blocks, the weights that hinder my strength The thorns of doubt and fear, the prickly pangs of pain Clear them, Yah, that I may walk with heart unchained Your Word, a flaming sword, cuts through the underbrush Illuminating the route, through life's tumultuous rush A beacon in darkness, shining bright and true Guiding me through labyrinths, to paths anew As You walked the wilderness, with Israel of old You cleared the way, making the crooked paths unfold The Red Sea parted, a miracle to behold And through the desert's heart, a highway to Your gold So now, dear Yah, remove the thorns that pierce my soul The hidden snares, the subtle traps that make me stumble and roll Clear my path, dear Father, that I may walk with ease And in Your light, find solace, and heart's release With every step, Yah, make my path more plain And in Your love, may my heart find its sweet refrain In Your presence.
