City of Gold
I met someone in the city of gold The place was dull and noisy But among all that chaos, she glimmered Shining like a diamond as priceless as it can be There were more silences than words I didn't mind them, I liked them with her She spoke stories of her days all in her own unique way I just sat listening to her verses like a devotee of a goddess Her smile was all I remember, sweet and welcoming Every laugh of hers added warmth to my cold heart Her eyes are poetic, sculpted by the finest It tells me stories of ambition, stories of freedom Her core is like the city of gold Her beauty is from within, her amazing silver lining I wish this story was everlasting I wish their was no blood in my hands I would have mined the city of gold and gave her everything Because all that she was, she was worth it all, All!
