Cigarettes
My throat burning with each deep puff, as I drown my sadness in the smoke of the drug. The drowning feeling of nicotine, as it keeps me alive, keeps me clean. Cigarette after cigarette cus i can't help it, not wanting to break it. It helps to cope, to step away from the rope. Yet it slowly kills me, as it eats up the anxiety. The music ringing in my ears, so loud, yet it clears. It pictures a foggy tunel, that I can't help but run in. It clears my worries, through all my hurries. It clears my mind, the mess disspearing into a soft kind. A dark, tho silent night, yet I haven't won the fight. Even when feeling so helpless, it helps me feel so senseless. The worries disappear, just like all that fear. My pained eyes fell at ease. My mind finally at peace.
