Chrysalis
The knees were piercing my ribs My hands were clutched around my knees The pain was begging to sting Like that moment when you stand up abruptly After you've consumed nothing The process is worth every sting and every wrenching thought Suddenly I feel the cocoon widen This is my epogeum The moment I become beautiful Someone pulls me out of my cocoon and throws me away I see the cut mark on my former home I know all too well who wants to interrupt me as a being She's getting into my cocoon She unveiled her teeth at me And licks the cut and tries to stick it The adhesive drips to the ground When the cocoon makes it's way back to perfection I hear a muffled scream The clouds of smoke are rising angrily The cocoon begins to shrink The fire reflects in my eyes And I take a few steps back Lest my wet wings Filled with the liquid of premature perfection Extinguish the fire that torments her body and soul.
