Christ is love
In the attempt to be understood We often forget to be understanding And thinking to be smart We want to outsmart to suppress The views we so most resent Even as far as to their persons Citing enmity and paving way for some egoistic quarrel Living to prove those who misunderstand us of how right we are And forgetting that they are also doing same And having crowned ourselves judges Do exercise such unlawful power against the hated and the unwanted And ever so wander away from genuine compassion By setting holier-than-thou boundaries Sampling the righteous from the sinners Yet so, however hard it may seem The liberator saw it fit to welcome than to condemn To heal than to inflict more hurt; He who saw to the depths of our fragile hearts To judge with love than with partiality To accept with open arms even the tax collector That Christ is love; All else is a failing endeavor.
