CHOOSING ME
In love's labyrinth, I lost my way, Amidst the debris of a love gone astray. I poured my heart, my soul, my all, Loving you, as if under a spell's thrall. But now I choose to find myself anew, Amidst the wreckage, amidst the residue. For in the depths of your consuming embrace, I lost sight of who I am, my own trace. I'll wander the paths, where shadows reside, Seeking the fragments of my self that hide. Amongst the ruins of what we once held dear, I'll reclaim my essence, dispel the fear. For I loved you deeply, with all that I am, Yet in that love, I lost sight of my own plan. But now, I'll rise from the ashes, reborn, Rediscovering the me that was once torn. So farewell, my love, though it pains me so, I'll find myself amidst this lost tableau. With strength and resilience, I'll forge my own way, Finding myself again, beyond this disarray. Romique ππππ
