CHOOSING ME!
Here’s the truth: I don’t need to get over her to erase what she meant to me. She’ll always be part of my story. But I *might* need to let go of the version of her that lives in my head—the one I keep writing letters to—the one I hoped would write back. Because holding onto that version might be hurting me more than it’s helping. I'm still carrying her in a place where healing is supposed to happen. I worked, ran, and sacrificed for a version of love I never fully received back. And now that I'm building my future, she's not in it—not because I failed—but because sometimes people grow apart, even when they don’t want to. I deserve peace. Not just the kind that looks good on the outside, but the kind that lets me sleep at night without wondering what I did wrong. Letting go doesn't mean forgetting. It just means *choosing myself* now. Choosing to live fully, not halfway in a memory. So maybe the better question is: *What will it take to finally choose me*?
