Choosers, not beggars
Beggars can't be choosers, as they always say. You'd better not be a loser, You'd better work and stay. But a beggar never chooses their very own kind of life. They may hang their own nooses, or yet they may survive. As a beggar, I'd like something. Something innocent and fun. No, not a lover nor a fling, Remember that my life's only just begun. I'd like a giant bookcase, to fill up with trinkets and books. I'd like to read them over the days, And smile proudly at my bookcases looks. I'd like a home that's warm, instead of cold as ice. Something that's not forlorn, wouldn't that be nice?
