childhood #1
In shadows deep where silence lies, A heart once bright, now wears disguise. Each whispered word, a dagger's edge, Each glance a threat, a broken pledge. The mind a battlefield, war-torn and frightened, With chains of doubt, each battle fought. A voice inside, once bold and clear, Now wrapped in layers of hidden fear. Yet through the darkness, a spark remains, Resilience blooms amidst the chains. Like wildflowers that push through stone, The spirit fights to reclaim its throne. Through clenched fists and venomous speech, The soul learns strength in lessons each. The scars may linger, a testament true, But they tell a story of strength that grew. Physical storms may leave their trace, But courage rises, finding grace. In every bruise and every tear, A warrior stands, defying fear. With every sunrise, a chance to mend, To bury the past, to rise, to transcend. For healing is a journey, a road well-trod, Where brokenness leads to the hand of God. So here we stand, with hearts ablaze, Not defined by darkness, but by brighter days. Surviving the battles, the struggles we've faced, Unfolding our wings, in freedom embraced.
