Child of the sky
A child destined to rule Hope for some kingdom so cruel A sword put in the saint's hand Can do nothing but cry and melt. Although escaping his home felt sore, His heart could take it no more. Fled one night with no trace, So he could live at his own pace. Elders tell his tale As the wind listens So he asks the sky The tale he's never been told. I don't get it. What was it that made me special? What did you see in me That I couldn't? The kingdom soon fell down The royal blood turned brown A traveller hides afar Because he holds the guilty crown.
