Chemo's end
Breathe in, breathe out, seeking oxygen, through airways of doubt. blurry colors, lights fade in, waiting for the crimson to end. the liquid like fire, caustic but futile, every inch a mile, every blistered tasted bud, lips cracked by the cure, how much more pain endured? Every fiber of your DNA rewired, every cell has expired. trial and error, to defeat a foreign yoke, follicles renewed after years a joke. ha ha ! a good little joke, rich with facts that cancer had spoken. Second chances, lifted away, as each breath a blessing only a few each day. so light your candles , bring on new hope, as I ring that bell, remission fled and new life eloped. By :JLS
