Checkpoint: Life
Today I played a game called Minecraft, I built a house, then made a farm. Raised a herd of sheep and tamed a wolf, Had all I needed — safety, charm. But wanting more, I wandered far, Till I slipped into a pool of lava. The game reminded me of something — wait — it's life: In pursuit of the future, I forgot to live my time. Another game I played was The Witcher, I rode on Roach, swung both my swords. Ignored the side quests, chased the final boss, The ending came, but felt like loss. Again, it reminded me of something — life, In pursuit of the end, I missed the joy of the ride. The final game I played was a puzzle — Limbo, The simple tasks once felt too tough, so I quit. Years later, I gave it a thought, tried again — The hardest part had become easy with grit. And I was struck by guilt and grace, Realizing I almost missed this place. It reminds me of life once more: That near the end, we regret Not the wrongs we made, but the chances we never met.
