CHANGES
I used to be the neon spark, The life of every crowd. I’d chase the music through the dark, And laugh a little loud. The "yes" came easy to my lips, The party never ended. Between the jokes and social trips, My time was always expended. But now the volume’s turned down low, I’ve closed the heavy door. I’ve found a pace that’s soft and slow, And I don't need the roar. I’ve traded noise for tea and light, The "missing out" for rest. In the stillness of the night, I like this version best.
